The Siberian Husky farm is located in Lovozero area; place of living Saami people in Russian Lapland on Kola Peninsula. You will be welcome with hot tea and traditional pies. You will learn all about the wonderful “Siberian Husky”, you can hug and communicate with the charming and sweet huskies. Because you are at a Saami place you can also meet reindeers and even sledge behind them. After the detailed introduction how to manage a dog’s sledge you will start to move along the specially prepared forest route ruling the sledge and huskies by yourself.
In summer we will hike to the beautiful forest lake (2 km) via pine forest. The Huskies will accompany us. We will have lunch at a campfire place and listen stories about Northern nature and local traditions.
After the exiting adventure you will have lunch in a traditional Saami dwelling named “Chum” (like wigwam). You can listen to stories about the polar nature and different traditions of Northern people.
Do you know that the First Siberian Husky was raised by Chukchi in North-East Siberia. The dogs lived inside of Chukchi’s dwellings that is why they are very kind to people and love children. Siberian Huskies history is inseparably linked with the endless snow carpets, where the long winters and storms forced people to look for not just a friend, but a true friend and helper. And the Huskies did are and remain so. It is really pleasure to communicate with such lovely, fluffy and friendly doggies. Huskies are fond of sledge pulling. These dogs are enjoying with “flying” over the snow surrounded by Snow World of Polar Winter! In summer you can hike with huskies un the beautiful surroundings.
This husky safari is offered without transfers to the farm, because we don't know where you are coming from, but off-course if you are not travelling by car we can organise the necessary transfers from your hotel.
