Snowmobile safari "Saami village: Krasnoschelye"
With this snowmobile safari you go on a journey to Saami village Krasnoschelye in the centre of Kola Peninsula where you only come by airplanes, snowmobiles and special off-road vehicles. You learn about the history and life of the aboriginals of Russian Lapland – the Saami, Komi and Nentsy. Our track to Krasnoschelye goes via passes of the amazing beautiful Khibiny mountains, over iced lakes and along frozen rivers surrounded by virgin ancient forests sleeping under a thick snow blanket.
This snowmobile safari is 500 km long. You will be for 5 days in a world of wildlife, snow, Northern Lights and reindeers!

Snowmobile safari "Saami village: Krasnoschelye"
Day 1: Meeting at Murmansk airport or at a hotel. Transfer to the to the start point of the
tour at foot of Khibiny Mountains (240 km). After brief introduction and changing
clothes we start our snowmobiling tour via the majestic mountains sleeping under
crystal snow blanket. After lunch in a mountain hotel we proceed via the Northern
Rischorr Pass (Witches’ Valley) and via Umbozero Lake to Lovozero Tundra. Check in
at a guest house. Dinner. Overnight. (LD)
Distance of snowmobiling: 80 km
Day 2: Breakfast and start snowmobiling to the old and remote village Krasnoschelye. During the way several stops for a rest and snacks, exploring the surroundings and making photos. Upon arrival in Krasnoschelye we have dinner. Overnight in a guest house. (BLD)
Day 3: After breakfast we will hike in the village to see life of the Saami. Lunch. Free time.
Sauna in the evening. Dinner and overnight in the guest house. (BLD)
Distance of snowmobiling: 170 km
Day 4: After breakfast we take the way back to Lovozero tundra. Wilderness Lunch.
For overnight we stay in a Guest house. (BLD)
Distance of snowmobiling: 170 km
Day 5: Breakfast. Snowmobiling via Umbozero Lake and Umbozero Pass in Khibiny mountains.
Arrival in Lovozero village. Lunch in a mountain hotel. Then snowmobiling of 25 km more to the
foot of Kukisvumchorr mountain where we start our tout from. Transfer to Murmansk. (BL)
