City trip / excursion in Hero city Murmansk.

Murmansk is known in Russia as a city of Heroes. With this city trip / excursion our guide with a car / minibus / touring car collects you from your accommodation at 9:00 and shows you the points of interests connected to Murmansk city and acts of the Northern Heroes. You will visit the place where the first stone of the city was laid. Then we continue to the Second World War Memorial and further – to the Memorial to countries of the Anti-Hitler Coalition.

At 11:00 an excursion in the first Nuclear Icebreaker LENIN with joining to the group up to 20 persons.
At 12:00 we take a coffee-tea break in a small cafe on the way.
At 13:00 we have an excursion in the Museum of Regional Studies: three halls with expositions demonstrate the history, archaeology, mineralogy, nature and ethnic peculiarities of the Kola Peninsula including Saami part or to Navy Museum explores the history of the Northern Russian Navy with photographs, uniforms and other artefacts, as well as models of ships and submarines Which museum we will visit is depending on a day of week.

Then the historical city streets await us further. We’ll visit a newly opened monument dedicated to a woman awaiting her seaman. To continue our tour we are going to see the symbolic beacon, the Monument to the Kursk submarine (drowned on 12.08.2002) and then we visit the Saviour Temple on Waters. Driving pass Semyonovskoye lake we’ll take a trip to the 38.5-meter high Memorial "Alyosha" symbolizing a hero-warrior that stands on a hill looking at the city, hence you’ll be able to see Murmansk and its ports from a bird’s view – it is an excellent possibility for making pictures of a panorama of the city and harbour. Then we proceed further and visit The Allied cemetery. On the way back we stop to buy souvenirs of the North in the City exhibition Centre.
At 17:00 come back to the hotel.!
